The Digital Perestrojka Trip to Russia took place from 15th to the 21st of June 2009, the cities Moscow and Sint Ptersburg were visited with a group of 16 entrepreneurs, marketing executives and venture capitalists. 

 

Dutch interest in Russia

 

Our interest in Russia was based on the dynamic Russian internet and mobile market, the typical Russian brands and product lines and the cross media marketing approach in Russia. The total Russian internet market is one of the biggest in Europe and has the highest growth potential. In addition there is a lively and advanced mobile market. Also fiber and 4G are taking off in Russia.

 

The delegation met successful market players, innovative concepts and inspiring leaders of the Russian market from:

-          Cross media publishing, applications and marketing companies

-          Mobile market and application developments

-          Fixed and wireless network developments such as the fiber, 4G and Wimax

-          Software development outsourcing opportunities

 

Goals that were achieved include:

-          establish international contacts with Russian business leaders

-          explore potential business with the Russian companies

-          exchange knowledge with Russian businesses in the cross media and web 2.0 markets.
